We haven’t lived in this house long, I’ve unscrewed existing pendant rose and can see red and black wires plus the earth but it is all copper no plastic casing thingy. Is this safe to wire up to the new fitting ? Please advise thanks

DIY stores will sell tiny lengths for reasonable money. Wholesalers will sell 100 meters for around the same price Some wholesalers may let you have a bit.
