Danesmoor 20/25 lock out
Jan 13th, 2020, 3:36pm

Hello,

I've done a couple of searches and found a possible answer. what is happening is (standard behaviour?)...

lower orange light is on. press the reset button, lower orange light switches off. the motor fires up, and a couple of seconds later, the whoosh

anything from a couple of minutes to 15 minutes later, the whoosh stops, I hear a relay click. the motor stays on for about 30 seconds, then the motor stops, and the lower orange light on the control panels lights up. (boiler is quiet)

some searches have said it might be the transformer? I did a search and found these two

theheatxchange.co.uk/worcester/transformer/87161566960/sku_WOR87161566960
theheatxchange.co.uk/worcester/ebi-052f0004-transformer/87161427300/sku_WOR87161
427300

does anyone know the difference between the two and which one I want? or if anyone has a different link to the item. or a different fault suggestion

I should say, the boiler (owned by parents) has been looked at by an engineer [don't know which] more than once, he couldn't find a fault.

[in advance,,thanks]

Lots of questions.

Which model or we looking at.

Combi or standard

Conventional flue or room sealed.

Make and model of the burner.

Make and model of the oil burner.

Do you have a single pipe de-aerator.

Have you checked the oil tank and filter.

Have you checked the pressure gauge (Combi)

Has the header tank got water in it (openvent)

Does it restart if you reset the thermostat, sorry I can't remember which order the two lights are in.

Sounds more a temperature/system problem, to be honest so I wouldn't change anything just yet

Hello, thank you for the replies. sorry I missed information out. it's basically fixed - it was the solenoid, replaced and ok (guy came out for apparently a third visit, this time it tripped while he was watching)

the information, I can find out if you want? it's got a large flue coming out the top which 90 degrees into the wall. danesmoor 20/25 model picture here (standard web image); https://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NzY4WDEwMjQ=/z/jncAAOSwfk9bcZhl/$_86.JPG
