is there a difference between bath taps and basin taps ?. and were is the best place to buy a tap reviver kit in glasgow ?. ta

Mostly yes, basin taps are ½" whereas bath taps are ¾", Modern taps can be different makeup/design.
Best place to get the kits would be Screwfix, Toolstation etc.
