HELP!!! ip rating advice

Hi, I would like to know if i could install an ip20 light in the bathroom, some say yes some say no, it will be 2.6m from the floor and  but lightly over the bath, pictures in my gallery, cheers

2.6m is outside of the bathroom zones, and so there is no requirement for IPx4 or better as stated in section 701 of BS7671, however, the sticking point is the general regulation 522.3.1 - "A wiring system shall be selected and erected so that no damage is caused by condensation or ingress of water during installation, use and maintenance."

Thanks for the reply, even though the fitting looks relatively sealed, is there a way I could make it better, looking at similar fixtures they all ip44 rated, this is the light I am after https://www.thehomelightingcentre.co.uk/lighting-c3/ceiling-lights-c4/flush-ceil...

To be honest, while you could fit that and comply to the regulations as it is outside the zones, it would deteriorate and rust out so quickly where it is positioned.

I would be looking for something else Undecided
