Plaster board to wood ceiling
Sep 4th, 2021, 3:31pm

Advice please , I have a t&g wood ceiling and would like to change to plaster board. My query is if boards screwed straight to the t&g would I be liable to get cracks due to expansion of the wood, or should I remove t&g and screw to joists? Hope someone can help with advice. Trevor

Find out where the joists run and try to screw into them as much as possible and you should be fine boarding over t&g.
