Title: Painting Rendered Fireplace Post by MatA on Jan 31st, 2012, 9:58am I want to paint a rendered fireplace alcove prior to installing a wood burning stove. Can I use regular emulsion/wall paint or should be be using heat resistant type? |
Title: Re: Painting Rendered Fireplace Post by Natedog on Feb 1st, 2012, 2:48pm my rendered fireplace is just painted with wickes trade white emulsion. the bit directly behind the stove (well out of sight) has yellowed quite badly, but other than that it's fine. get's repainted every year, as it gets marked lots from puting logs in there to dry out |
