Title: Non standard height bifold doors
Post by RJ on Dec 21st, 2004, 6:31pm

Am after 2 sets of bifold doors to fill a gap 1500 (59") wide and 2080 high (82")(no frame currently present). The width is fine but the height of all doors available is usually only 78".
We would like glazed bifolds to bridge a gap into a new extension. Having to bridge the 11" cavity width means to block 4" which would be an eyesore, likewise a vent light would be weird as the frame would leave approx 1/2" of glass in the vent.
Are there glazed bifold doors available to fit height 82" width 1500mm (5')?

Jewsons do a 15 pane SA patern door in 2040x726

This should work out fine for width once you have a frame each side, may need a little of the bottom once you have allowed fro frame, top runner and floor finish.

As the frame is not in place yet I would make a grove in the head to hide the top guide, this will also help to avoide having to alter the height.
