Title: schock taps Post by trowelhead on Jul 10th, 2005, 12:44pm My kitchen tap,a schock product that has the pull out spray head ,has sprung a leak :'(. It is leaking from the rubber 'part' that houses the button to switch between shower and normal tap working.(if you know what i mean. ::) Does any of you kind chaps know if it is in anyway reparable? Can you buy the tap head on its own?(i doubt it) Where is the cheapest place to buy schock products? Thanks |

Title: Re: schock taps Post by billythekid on Jul 10th, 2005, 6:56pm if you can get it off try wrapping ptfe tape around wherever its leaking, like re-packing a stopcock. is it an O ring or what? mixer taps can be a bitch for this, not sure about the particular tap in question. btk |

Title: Re: schock taps Post by trowelhead on Jul 16th, 2005, 10:08pm Thanks Billy, but is actually leaking from the button on the pullout 'shower head.' The missus phoned the firm that supplied the taps and the bird there was as much use as a chocolate ashtray. She has since phoned 2 other companies and both have sent a new showerhead foc (alright 1 was the wrong colour) and 1 company even offered to send 1 of there plumbers round foc to fit it! :o :o :o Some of my faith in human kindness is being restored! |
