Title: 32mm waste and a tumble dryer Post by mills85 on Jul 30th, 2005, 5:49pm Evening ppl, i'm a spark by trades and don't touch plumbing but wife jus bought a new tumble dryer that has a condenser that can be put into the waste, know the type???? Well allready got a 32mm waste pipe(solvent weld) with a washing machine trap on one end, going through the wall to the outside drain, whats the best way of adding a new washing machine wast trap onto the existing pipe??? cheers guys in advance |

Ideally for each machine you need a vertical section of pipe with a U bend on the bottom. The U bends are joined to a horizontal pipe which goes out to the drain. the vertical pipes stop level with the top of the machine and the outlet pipe is hooked in the top and fixed to the wall. However ... The output from our condensing dryer was just a trickle so if the above isn't possible for some reason then you could probably share the one downpipe and U-bend. |
