Title: Nylon Braided Flexies Post by Bayden_Rank on Aug 17th, 2005, 7:03pm Hi Guys Are the nylon braided flexibles any good? I need a flexi that is longer than my local supplier does in steel braided but can get the right length in nylon braided. |

Title: Re: Nylon Braided Flexies Post by billythekid on Aug 17th, 2005, 10:39pm lmao, good advice, what scruff cunningly left out is that if you use braided hoses or flexi pipe the job will look shite! But if all you are interested in is getting water to your taps then for ease i'd agree with scruff flexi pipe is much more robust than the hoses, steel or nylon, and is therefor easier to install without kinking/straining and with push fit theres really no effort at all! course if you want a nice challenge for a diy-er do it in copper and bend your own offsets, you will waste a few pipes i'm sure but the effect when complete is stunning compared to pushfit/flexi......... just my opinion btk PS. if no-one can see it I find myself reaching for the speedfit these days, must be getting old or something, shhhhhh I didnt say that.... ;) |

Title: Re: Nylon Braided Flexies Post by Bayden_Rank on Aug 17th, 2005, 10:56pm Hi Billy I have done the bending of pipes in the past and in a previous life used to bend steel conduit with only a piece of wood with a hole in it as an aid - employer too tight to buy the correct kit. I have decided to leave the springs hanging on their hook this time as once finished the pipes will not be on show. Thanks for the advice the thing I like about this forum is that the likes of me do not get put down for asking dumb questions. |
