Title: Re: DEWALT result!! Post by Lectrician on Dec 18th, 2006, 6:48am The person who sold the house I bought had won the lottery. I think they have left some good luck behind. Not only did we get it cheap as they wanted a quick sale, but every time we go to the DIY store we get something for free! Last week we bought some posh curtain poles, paint etc. I held all the curtain poles while they scanned the paint......they missed scanning the poles - LOVELY. This week, at wickes, I bought some feather edge board and treated timber for a small fence on the other side of the house, also put a flatpacked timber gate on the trolley. They missed the gate - £49 to me! Going to start buying a lottery ticket from now on! |

Title: Re: DEWALT result!! Post by JerryD on Dec 18th, 2006, 10:48pm Time for my good luck story then ;D I was in a builders merchants and among other things I had leant one of those 4' wide brooms (with the metal stays) against the counter as I needed one but wanted to know the price first. The eeejit behind the counter just said "You want that broom handle too mate" (that's all he could see of the broom from his side of the counter) "er.......yes please......" I stuttered :-[ Signed for it but now had to make the awkward walk toward the door with this gigantic broom I hadn't paid for ;D Luckily the eeejit was distracted by another customer so I was in the van and away pretty darn quick ;D Very satisfying :D :D |
