Title: Wind turbines - the B&Q way

Local B&Q has been promoting these. Had to smile when I read on the control unit mounted to the shaft "For Internal Use Only".

On the green building forum one chap has two 15kw windmills. He also reported figures for the amount of electricity they produced and it averaged just 4% of the mills rated capacity on his site. eg 30kw of mill averages 1.2KW.  Work out what that BnQ mill would produce at the same rate  :(
