can some one please help me i need to add a safety switch to a direct on line starter with overload realy stuck without it and must be done

please help

its a Telemecanique LE1D25V7 by the way if this helps

Do you mean you need to add a switch (like emergency stop) to the DOL circuit?

Can't find a sensible link to the product, so without looking... remove the link wire from the A1 terminal inside, connect this to the 'C' Terminal on your interlock (safety) switch. Connect the NC terminal of the switch back to the A1 terminal on the contactor.

If correct, the switch will interupt the contactor when operated, the contact will be re energised when the switch is closed and the start button is pressed.

great thank you i am going to buy a new unit any way and can i just check if i need a 415 volt coil there is no neutral just the 3 phases and earth if that helps also not sure if the over load is correct the motor is 15 hp dont want to buy like for like if its wrong!

Bear in mind that your should fuse the control circuit down if taking from the DOL enclosure.  Especially if the DOL starter is supplying a motor of that size.

i have a 1.5 amp quick blow fuse and holder for the switch as the switches instuctions said if thats what you mean?
