Title: Re: cat 2 lighting Post by CWatters on Sep 4th, 2009, 8:27pm I would recommend they try different keyboards.. Google found a few people have problems with HP keyboards... seems to be mainly the metalic ones.. http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&q=HP+keyboard+%22hard+to+see%22+&meta= |

Title: Re: cat 2 lighting Post by londonman on Sep 5th, 2009, 6:41pm Keyboards..that brought back memories of unexplained problems. Many years ago way before PCs became ubiquitous, I installed a humble word-processing system in a solicitors. A few days later they rang to complain about random characters appearing on the screen. I went to check it out but coudn't find anything. Replaced the keyboard. All seemed OK. About a week later, they rang again. Same problem. Random characters. So I went back, couldn't find anything wrong. This time replaced the whole computer and keyboard. All seemed OK. A week went by and then they called again -seriously pissed off- still random characters. So I called in again and noticed a new member of staff who I'd not seen before. She was extremely well-endowed but also short sighted and vain. So she wouldn't wear glasses and so to see the characters properly, you guessed it........ It took all my diplomatic skills to explain the problem! |

Title: Re: cat 2 lighting Post by CWatters on Sep 6th, 2009, 8:12pm I have a black on white keyboard and it's hard to provoke a problem. Did some googling but all I could find was this which suggests it's all a lot harder than just wacking up some CAT 2 lights... http://www.right-of-light.co.uk/calculations.htm Quote:
