Title: FCU
Post by Will on Sep 17th, 2009, 9:52am

Can I run a fcu spur off a triple socket on the ring main then attach a single socket for a fridge freezer and a 3amp fan. If so how to I connect

ie triple socket-13ampFCU-single socket-3ampFCU-fan?

You have 1x triple socket, you want to spur off to a 13a SFCU/USFCU, to supply 1x SSO, then you want to spur from that to a 3a SFCU.

If you use 2.5mm T&E, I dont see an issue. There is a potential of 16a that could flow through that 2.5mm, which is rated 27a clipped direct.. Remember to take the supply to the 3a SFCU from the supply side of the 13a SFCU and not the SSO.

Regards

Carl.
