Title: tiling on damaged plaster
Post by glennbo on Apr 22nd, 2010, 8:54pm

i removed old tiles off a previously new plastered wall, in doing so about 30% of the skim layer came off with them.underneath this skim the plaster is sound,it's not blown or loose .is it ok to tile straight onto this or is it wise to re skim the area affected. many thx in this matter

You wll find it so much easier to tile onto a smooth flat wall it is not worth considering unles it is a very small area.
