Sky box Grundig ( not sky plus or HD) loosing picture on Sky sports channels only ,all other channels reception OK. Problem occurs about 5 mins after activation from stand by.

The old grundig boxes had power supply issues which once manifested would cause random channels to break up.

Either that or a dodgy LNB.

Could just as easily be a cable issue or mis-alignment.

It's not just the Sky boxes made by Grundig. Just last month I had to replace all the capacitors in the power supply of my three year old Thompson box. At least three of the capacitors were visibly "blown". Companies like Satcure do kits and/or exchange power supplies if you can't solder.
