Title: pedestal traps Post by billybin on Sep 22nd, 2010, 8:31pm Hi, I have just spent a fortune on a new sink to find that i need to get a straight 'pedestal trap' the only thing is it needs to be chrome to match the sink, a white plastic one just wont do the job!!! Can anyone advise one where to get hold of one???? :'( |

Title: Re: pedestal traps Post by CWatters on Sep 23rd, 2010, 3:58pm Do you mean this type of pedestal trap for use where the waste goes down through the floor?.. http://www.screwfix.com/prods/17119/Plumbing/Wastes-and-Traps/Pedestal-Trap-32-x-32mm http://www.diy.com/diy/jsp/bq/nav.jsp?action=detail&fh_secondid=9272162&ecamp=trf-005&CAWELAID=266882926 They are normally hidden in the pedestal so it doesn't really matter what colour they are. If you don't have a pedestal then the pipe is normally hidden in the wall so a P trap can be used as per Londonman's link. I can't recall seeing an exposed/chrome version of the vertical type. |
