Title: Connecting a dishwasher please

Can I use plastic flexible pipe to connect drain and water supply to a dishwasher over a distance of 4 meters.  Thanks.

You probably could do it but flexible pipe is more prone to leaking/damage than rigid. Correct thing to do is to extend the existing rigid supply and drain pipes to bring them closer to where you want to put the dishwasher.

I think the longest drain pipe I've seen is around 3.6m but there are 2.5m extensions around. They aren't all exactly the same diameter so you might have problems extending the one you have. You might need to remove it and fit a longer one. Also check the dishwasher manufacturers instructions to see if they recommend a limit. I suppose a longer waste pipe might have implications for the life of the water pump as flexible hoses tend to fill up with gunk?
