Title: Changing my toilet seat? Post by Hayeso32 on Jul 15th, 2011, 8:54pm Hi, my toilet seat is broken and needs changing. Sounds simple until i realised that not all toilet seats are the same after arriving home with a new one. My toilet is a sealed unit and so the fixings are not undone from underneath as is on most toilets i think. Mine has two screws that go through a chrome plate into the toilet pan. Is there a special name for this type of fixing detail? I have searched the net for one but cant seem to find one and the toilet has no brand name or markings on it to reference against. Any advice appreciated!!!!!! |

Title: Re: Changing my toilet seat? Post by young senior on Aug 7th, 2011, 4:43pm I have same problem fixings are 220mm apart not standard measurements for UK . Combined cistern & pan mannufactured in Germany but no identifying marking to be seen. I have been unable to source replacement. Checked out ebay without success. Any help appreciated. |

Post by CWatters on Aug 7th, 2011, 10:40pm Try.. http://www.goodwoodbathrooms.co.uk/loo_seats/index.php They appear to have three standard 220mm designs and will make you a seat from a template if the standard ones aren't suitable.. http://www.goodwoodbathrooms.co.uk/loo_seats/templates.php EDIT: Yikes I've just seen their prices. Perhaps wait for a better suggestion. |
