Hi,

We have BT Versatility system running on one PSTN line, it was working fine until one morning we noticed it was picking incoming calls up by itself on the first ring, it just holds it there and does nothing. We can dial out fine, just incoming calls pick up immediately, the line light on the phone flashes green for a split second and then goes red.

Checked all the system/line settings, reset to defaults and then disabled guarded clear again, even updated the firmware. Still we have the same problem.

Im starting to think we have a faulty mainboard or line card, has anyone else seen this before?

First thing to do is test your actual pstn line with a normal phone. Then try shifting the line from L1 to L2 and see if the fault moves too.
