Title: pir security lights Post by dj-paul-c on Nov 5th, 2011, 5:39pm im planning on fitting 2 pir security lights to a single sized garage i was going to fit one in the centre of the garage above the door to catch you when you come into the drive and the other just on the start of the long side to shine down the path to the house question is if i walk up the drive to the garage -if the garage door light triggers will that stop the one on the corner from working if the light affects the sensor working ? |

Title: Re: pir security lights Post by Lectrician on Nov 5th, 2011, 9:11pm The light wont effect the IR detection from working. The light could cause the other to think it was daylight and hence stop triggering, but this is delayed by many minutes. |

Title: Re: pir security lights Post by scotspark on Nov 6th, 2011, 9:20pm I hate when the customer supplies the lights as they never have the sw wire connection. I always like to wire with a 3 position switch ON - OFF - AUTO SS |

Title: Re: pir security lights Post by Lectrician on Nov 6th, 2011, 10:01pm It's not so much "a switch out" as a "lamp in" you need ;D Potatoe potatoe! |
