Title: Shower Tray with upstand
Post by Lectrician on Mar 7th, 2014, 5:24pm

My dad is looking to replace his shower tray and re-tile.  The shower is wall on three sides.

The tray needs to be 760mm wide (opening measures 720mm tile to tile as it is, so new tray would be sunk into wall left and right), and ideally 1100mm long.

Ideally, upstands to four sides, or three sides (not on one short side).

Ideally a decent stone resin type.

Struggling to find anything that fits the bill!

Where to look?

Cheers.

1100 x 750 is pretty standard so should be able to get what you like.

You can get 760*1100 without upstands...

I've never used it but this site..

says..

Quote:
If your shower tray is flat top, but you want the benefits and security of a tiling upstand, JTFLEXI-FIX is the ideal solution. The flexible, self-adhesive, tiling upstand tape wraps around corner in 1 piece and creates a water-tight seal that fits vertical movement of at least 15mm.

PS: The key to making any seal last is to make the bath/tray a rigid as possible. If necessary beef up the floor before you start.

1100 * 760 says  "Available in Flat Top and Upstand options" (but check if 3 or 4 sides?)..

Thanks.  I found one which is 1000mm long, and can stud rear wall out (which may make fitting the shower easier!).

I would buy the standard 750mm, 15mm in the wall is plenty
