Title: Re: Lucky Escape Post by thescruff on Apr 25th, 2004, 9:11am Why ??????????????????????????? If it wasn't leaking before the engineer turned up theres no reason to assume it would ever leak. For a starters there's a good chance the engineer disturbed the pipe. Secondly pipes should be tested at 1.5 times working pressure, your engineeer by connecting to the mains has possibly trippled the existing pressure. When old installations are upgraded with Combi cans the existing system should be tested at the new pressure. sorry your only possible claim is from the engineer who repaired it anyway. scruff |
