Title: fire doors and frames Post by KILLABEE on May 4th, 2004, 11:36pm Howdy Fellas I have to replace a number of existing doors and frames with fire doors and frames. After extensive research I have decided to take this job on myself. I have read the fire regs and feel I have good understanding of them. I was wondering if you seasoned pros can give me any advice about putting the frames up and the best way to hang the doors. I understand the basics and just want to make sure I have everything covered before I take on the job. Regards A.N |

Make sure you get a door lifter: http://www.axminster.co.uk/default.asp?part=073011 Priceless when it comes to fitting the door and you are trying to screw up the hinges. The Axminster one seems a bit overpriced - I paid less than £10 on ebay for mine. Andrew |
