Title: New SANDER Post by Dusty on Jul 9th, 2004, 1:52pm My old random orbital sander is so loud and vibrates so much my neighbour thinks I’m breaking up the workshop floor! >:( TIME FOR A NEW ONE! :D But which one? ??? Anyone read a review on R/O sanders recently? ;) With a budget of around £100 can anyone suggest a cracker? :) Thank's Dusty |
Title: Re: New SANDER Post by Dusty on Jul 9th, 2004, 2:59pm I thought all Random Orbital sanders were round - anyway;

Title: Re: New SANDER Post by Learner Turner on Jul 9th, 2004, 4:12pm Dusty, Have a look here - there are reviews for all sorts of tools, written by people who appear to know their stuff. http://www.ukworkshop.co.uk/forums/ The Festool appears to be the mut's nuts, but it is out of the price range you specified. (Festool stuff is way out of my price range too!!!!) :'( |
Title: Re: New SANDER Post by jasonB on Jul 9th, 2004, 4:22pm I have the Metabo 150mm, variable speed, dual orbit very solid and works a treat. A bit over your budget but rutlands have a special offer with two bessey K body clamps http://www.rutlands.co.uk/cgi-bin/psProdDet.cgi/SXE450||@cRandom%20Orbital%20Sanders@b|0|user|1,0,0,1|8|; Jason |
