Title: New SANDER
Post by Dusty on Jul 9th, 2004, 1:52pm

My old random orbital sander is so loud and vibrates so much my neighbour thinks I’m breaking up the workshop floor! >:(

TIME FOR A NEW ONE! :D

But which one? ???

Anyone read a review on R/O sanders recently? ;)

With a budget of around £100 can anyone suggest a cracker? :)

Thank's Dusty

I thought all Random Orbital sanders were round - anyway;
  • round disc type
    125mm 8 holes (I think most ROS are this type)
    variable speed
    low noise
    low vibration

Dusty,

Have a look here - there are reviews for all sorts of tools, written by people who appear to know their stuff.

The Festool appears to be the mut's nuts, but it is out of the price range you specified. (Festool stuff is way out of my price range too!!!!) :'(

I have the Metabo 150mm, variable speed, dual orbit very solid and works a treat. A bit over your budget but rutlands have a special offer with two bessey K body clamps
