Title: NICEIC Vs E.C.A ? Post by minos26 on Jul 10th, 2004, 4:49pm Hi, ok i'll try not to start a feud here ;) Does anybody have: I understand that you have to be trading for 6 months prior to applying for membership of the N.I.C. , so how do you get off on the right foot? are there works/testing certificates that you can use to show that you are trying to comply with their legislation? Does it truthfully make difference to the type of jobs you are asked to quote for ? Also can't seem to find a list of prices on the E.C.A. website? weekenditus I suppose.... sorry for the amount of questions in this message on a weekend! ;) |
Title: Re: NICEIC Vs E.C.A ? Post by rabbit_rabbit on Jul 10th, 2004, 5:44pm No idea mate but why ask here on the DIY forum? Surely its a query for the Pro section. One thing NIC have fixed pricing and ECA, I am lead to believe, costs are based on turnover which is why they don't show fees. Maybe, just maybe, ECA is cheaper if you are a sole trader but as you build up your business the costs rise and probably to a level higher than NIC. RR |

Title: Re: NICEIC Vs E.C.A ? Post by rabbit_rabbit on Jul 11th, 2004, 8:25am Maybe but knowing NIC if you are migrating from ECA they probably have a 'special price list' (10x normal) ;D Ray |

Title: Re: NICEIC Vs E.C.A ? Post by rabbit_rabbit on Jul 11th, 2004, 8:57am I have NO idea Andrew but if they are doing their job right they should know who is on each others listings its public knowledge after all. Ray |
