I haven't got that one, but I did buy the £35 special from Screwfix. It does the job okay, but I guess higher prices might mean better quality.

Very informative thread that one! Almost worth printing it off and keeping it in the Biscuit Jointer box.

Big All, remind me to do just that when I get a Biscuit Jointer!  ;)

I have one, the only gripe I have is that the scale on the fence is a bit dodgy.    The fence needs to be aligned to a scale at each side to keep it parallel, but the scale is cast into the face plate and is pretty hard to read.

Other than that, it's great value for money.

could you not rub chalk or crayon
on to make it clearer ??? ???

Thats not the problem, the scales have the odd digit, but not enough to make left and right correspond in an obvious way.   It's not the end of the world, but detrimental to a fast set up.
