What reading should you get on a 'voltmeter' when testing between phase and earth at the consumer unit on a TNS system?

What ever the voltage is  ;D

Why are you concerned?  Anywhere in the region of 220 to 250 isn't uncommon.

If you are unsure of the earth connection, you should have a loop impedance test conducted.

Thanks for the reply.  I was getting 220.  I thought this was a little low.

Also the earth clamp on the incoming armouring was quite loose.  I'll get it checked.
