Title: What reading should you get...... Post by JerryD on Oct 15th, 2004, 8:42pm What reading should you get on a 'voltmeter' when testing between phase and earth at the consumer unit on a TNS system? |
Title: Re: What reading should you get...... Post by Lectrician on Oct 15th, 2004, 9:08pm What ever the voltage is ;D Why are you concerned? Anywhere in the region of 220 to 250 isn't uncommon. If you are unsure of the earth connection, you should have a loop impedance test conducted. |
Title: Re: What reading should you get...... Post by JerryD on Oct 16th, 2004, 9:06am Thanks for the reply. I was getting 220. I thought this was a little low. Also the earth clamp on the incoming armouring was quite loose. I'll get it checked. |
