Title: Single or double radiator? Post by nyck on Oct 24th, 2004, 12:25pm Is it best to use larger Single rad or a smaller double radiator to get the same BTU output.I thought i read a large single is better thanks nyck |
Title: Re: Single or double radiator? Post by thescruff on Oct 24th, 2004, 12:38pm Provided the required output is ok, the normal practice would be to install a rad that looks best in the desired position, eg under a window. For larger rooms try and space smaller rads around the various wall to avoid coldspots. scruff |
Title: Re: Single or double radiator? Post by nyck on Oct 24th, 2004, 2:17pm I can't really have 2 rads .I got got quite wide windows so i think a larger single rad would look better Are most rads the same ,the ones in B&Q (Biasi) seem a lot cheaper than say Stelrad/Delongi etc nyck |
Title: Re: Single or double radiator? Post by thescruff on Oct 24th, 2004, 2:25pm No there not the same the diy sheds are without being rude not a patch on the stelrad. I agree sometimes a large single rad with fins looks better than a double. Do your sums and see what fits best. scruff |
