Title: In Car Audio
Post by Lectrician on Jan 6th, 2005, 8:15pm

I have a Seat Ibiza, 1 yr old.

It has an in car CD, with an option to ad a disk changer (connected via RCA jacks, and a DIN plug).

I have a portable DVD player (bought it for this missus for xmas), and want to put a plug in the glove box to plug the audio from the DVD to the stereo.

The RCA to a jack socket in the glove box is easy.

However, if you select disk changer on the stereo, it wont 'stick' on it, as there is no disk changer present.  I am hoping I can short out two pins in the DIN Plug to tell the stereo a changer is present (if you see what I mean).

Just wondering if anyone would have an idea which?

doing some searching on google i found this

http://www.installer.com/aux/

im sure there are other suppliers too

i think some head units are simpler to trick into working than others.
