Title: Mitre saws Post by harley on Jan 20th, 2005, 10:04am Let me begin by saying this is NOT a windup but a serious question. It may be elementary to you but I am baffled. Could someone please explain to me the difference between the following, 1. Mitre saw 2. Compound mitre saw 3. Bevel mitre saw 4. Double bevel mitre saw 5 Crosscut compound mitre saw. |

Title: Re: Mitre saws Post by Dewy on Jan 20th, 2005, 5:20pm 1. the saw can be moved to make a known angle between the blade and the fence. 2. The saw can be angled from the vertical as well as in relation to the fence. 3. The same as 2 4. The saw can be angled either side of vertical instead of just to one side for sawing bevel cuts. 5. The same as 2 but with a sliding crosscut action enabling wider cuts. |
