Title: Radiator dripping Post by woodsmith on Mar 25th, 2005, 9:29pm I fitted a stainless steel towel rail several months ago, last week it started to drip where the valve adator screws into the radiator. I have tightened it up but it is still dripping. This adaptor came ready made with PTFE coating. I have found a lot of radiators leak from this joint, is there anything better than PTFE tape to seal the joint and how tight should it be tightened? Thanks for any help Keith |

Title: Re: Radiator dripping Post by greg on Mar 26th, 2005, 3:12pm I always re-wrap valves that come ready wrapped and depending on the make of radiator i sometimes smear some joint compound over the PTFE. |
