I have just had extension rendered (solid 9" topblock wall); renderer said paint it after a couple of days with stabiliser,then masonry paint. Bloke in paintshop said, wait ~5 weeks, then first coat very weak, next coat full strength. Don't use stabiliser as it stops the paint sticking properly. Who is right?
