luck run out then Big-all, i take it, got my wifes bug so have been up and awake since 3 this morning, and it ain't fixed!!! get my Missus to fix it, shes good at that (NOT!!)

COR! am i glad you did not get my wife to fix it!!
she always ends up with it working, but with "all these bits left over" !!

thats the beauty of routine mantanance in a workshop eventualy theres enough bits left over to build a new machine :o :o ;D ;)

we used to have a DYSON, it stopped working, and when i came home from work, my wife proudly said, "I FIXED IT WIH-OUT YOUR HELP"! , and yes it was running, no worries, later that evening she asked me what do these bits do!!??

and the very next day it went KER-BANG to be no more!!!

OOOOPPPPPSS!!

i always try to encourage enginuity

bbbbuuutttt sometimes its a lost cause

you need the right amount of common sence ,understanding of the workings and most off all the ability to remember where all the bits go ;D ;D ;D ;)

I thought I did quite well the other day, dismantled the dash on the car to repair the dot matrix display, all went back together with no bits left over!! ;D

My first car was an Astra MkII, took the dash to bits not long after I had it and 3 years later there were still 2 screws left over that I'd put in the ashtray. Never dd find out where they went even after spending the next 3 years dismantling and reassembling it several times. ::)

Been there with the vauxhalls - hidden screws everywhere!

The centre console lamps used to blow for a past time, and replacing them was a nightmare.

They did bring out a newer voltage stabaliser for the dash and console lights. Cost a fortune though, for a tiny little box!
