Can anyone suggest a product and supplier of an Epoxy adhesive suitable for bonding a small quantity of squint bricks that are to be cut and bonded on site?

Firstly, welcome to this here forum Electron,

and in regards to your question, what type of material are these squints, and as important, what material are you bonding them to!!!, also is it internal or external!!

Thanks for the quick reply Wolf.
They are 'clay' facing bricks and some engineering bricks, to be cut and bonded to each other. And used on the external leaf of a cavity wall.

Just read that back, and its as clear as mud! The facing brick is to be cut and bonded to another cut facing brick. The engineering brick will be cut and bonded to another cut engineering brick.

Hope that sounds clearer, I knew what I meant......

This should do the trick

You will also need a nice clean cut, a Clipper saw will be the best bet, these can easily be hired.

Thanks Jason, I actually e-mailed that company a few days ago to enquire about ordering some adhesive from them. However I have yet to recieve a reply. Have you dealt with this company yourself? I was wondering if they only sold wholesale, or if they used distributors.

I'm just wondering if you could use Celcon thin bed adhesive ???

It leaves a very thin joint ;) hence the name ::)

May be worth trying :-/

No experience with them Electron, don't recall it being available when I was in building. We always had out specials cut but the company are no longer in business. There are companies that will cut & glue for you with about a 7 day turnaround.

Keith I don't think the thin bed will go that thin, there is also the colour problem.

I thought you may be able to get away with resin anchor adhisive with a bit of mortar dye thrown i

Got them done at a local firm through the builders merchant.£3 a time. Well worth it!
