Title: Painting Polyprop Waste Pipe
Post by Bayden_Rank on Sep 26th, 2006, 2:25pm

I am trying to decide whether to box in or simply paint the exposed length of waste pipe.  Is there an accepted right way to paint polyprop waste please?

Thanks

Is 'polyprop' the white plastic looking pipe underneath the toilet ?, If so I have painted them loads of times, I normally undercoat with an oil-base , then satinwood or eggshell , again oilbase.

May I suggest that with plastic pipes having never been previously painted, go straight on with the gloss paint if that is the desired finish.
