I am having trouble trying to put in my own avater :'( its doing my head in, I have tried loads of times, and its not working.

I went into imageshack and picked a pic, and went into my profile, did it okay pasted in the url, but somewhere along the line I must be doing something wrong.

2 things i can think off, you DID include the full "HTTP:// " bit did you not! as only putting the "www." bit does not seem to work for me!!....as well as TICKING the "i have my own avitar " box!!??

they are only suggestions me dear! :-?

You have to be careful with that Wolf as it already provides the "http" bit and if you just copy in the link from photobucket for instance you get two https and it doesn't work.

Cora if you look at the link to your avatar and scroll back to the start see if it has the http twice.

Does this make sense? ::)

Thanks also woodsmith, you could be right there with the two HTTP, will have another go when I get in from work later. ;D

Thats what i was trying to state, when you C& P . a compy will sometimes leave out the http, or even the www., it depends on how/what choices have been made if you happen to have a word prog on board!!!

i have an acc's prog integrated with WORD and EXCEL, and this integration cuts off any thing forwards of the www "DOTS actual dot!!!

and i cant find out why... if i remove the prog it stops doing it!!!! >:( >:( >:(

any ways W?S i do like the new avatar!!! very posh!!!

Thank you, I only put it in to see how it went in, so that I could post about how to do it. Now does that make sense ::)

Thanks Lec for your offer, gave it one last go, and deleted the extra Http bit and it worked.

Lol, not far of it though, I was toying with the idea of having a rottweiller as my avater, thats what hubby calls me, and he even has a pic of the dog when my name appears on his mobile, he says its because I snap at him, and I have a ferocious temper, and I am out of control ::), but that aside I am also very sweet at times. ;D

As you can see I have a new avater, but it looks very small, how can I make it bigger?
When I go into browse it looks a lot bigger, but when its on here it looks tiny, what went wrong?
