Title: Tilt and Turn window hinges
Post by Zambezi on May 7th, 2009, 10:17am

I have been asked to replace a broken window hinge. I have not seen the window but I have been given the piece of broken hinge. It is a tilt and turn uPVC window. I can find places that sell the complete windows but not the hinges on their own, any ideas?

Probably worth giving someone like this a ring to see if they have them;

Z, different systems use different tilt and turn mechanisms. A few might use the same, but you'll still get, say, three different types on five different systems.

See if you can identify the upvc system, or at least get the t&t mech name off it and then ask your local upvc supplier (there are several in Kiddy) if they can identify it, in which case you can then probably get a replacement.

Thanx, the window fitter who lives a few doors away gave me the number of a guy in Malvern, who does window spares. I will have to go to the house to try and find more details on the T&T system.
