Title: Butterfly drop leaf table
Post by mailee on Dec 13th, 2009, 9:59pm

I have been working on this table over the past few months.

It is made from Beech with Mahogany inlay and Mahogany pegs for the tennons. The top is made from MR MDF which I veneered with Beech in a radial pattern. The top is lipped with Mahogany to simulate an inlay and then over lipped with Beech. A rule joint is used for the table top. and the whole top was finished with four coats of AC laquer.

Worth all the effort I think.
