Title: Mixer Tap
Post by Lectrician on Jan 18th, 2010, 7:17pm

My dads mixer tap (monoblock) is weeping slightly when turned on from where the top swivel part meets the lower fixed part.

There is a screw on the lower fixed part.

If you release this screw, I am assuming there is then a washer of some sort I can replace?

Anything to look out for?

Often a series of rubber O rings, but the plumbers might know better ;)

and as for the tap, as WS states normally a large-ish "O" ring seal... common fault/problem........

Yes undo the screw and it should pull out.

1 or 2 O ring washers.
