Working in a house and could not help snapping these:

I guess the previous owner decided he needed more sockets.

He has clipped the cables around the skirting to the new sockets, thought it looked rough, and so capped the skirting with some plastic skirting.....

Oh, and the sockets are all wired in flex, fed from plugtops!

At least he didn't have a plug on both ends.

It looks like he couldn't afford or didn't want to spend out to get an electrician in to do it properly, but the time and effort he's put into doing that suggests he could have done it properly himself with a bit of advice from a sparky or a DIY book.
