Title: Re: Cookies & The EU Law Post by Lectrician on Jun 15th, 2012, 7:17pm I can understand it to some extent - Screwfix were almost leaders in using cookies to store info for advertising reasons. Look at a product on screwfix, then goto a completely different site and that very product is advertised in their top bar. I noticed it a couple years back and at the time thought it was clever! Cookies are required for many things, but like anything, can be abused! I am not even sure if out site complies, not sure exactly what you need to inform people, and not sure if a sticky post is enough - I have placed some comment in the reg-agreement too. No issue with guest viewers, just members. |
