Title: faulty honeywell control
Post by wretch on Apr 12th, 2013, 6:04pm

i have a honeywell cm67ng rf controller
this has  been used for five years only in manual mode (on or off)
now the control will not switch the boiler off when in the off position
this suggests a fault
is there any way to check if the unit is working correctly?

all advice greatly appreciated

best regards

Have you got all the normal leds lit.

What boiler is it.

Is there any MVs that may have stuck.

i have taken the batteries out of the sender so a red light shows on the receiver
with the batteries in the boiler fires with a green light on the unit
last night i ran the heating and the control went off after an hour with the switch still in the off pos'n

the boiler is a worcester bosch greenstar 30si

checked all the rads they seem normal

best regards

Interesting , it sounds as though it's been wired wrong.

Can you tell me hows its wired receiver and boiler terminals.

sorry for the delay in replying to your posts
odd thing is the controller is now working correctly
this one is for the techies
when the controller malfunctioned my son synced a new iphone to our Wi-Fi
also my laptop warned of an ip conflict with a new device
coincidence?
thanx again for your help

best regards

I think unlikely to be related to the WiFi changes. These are different frequency bands.

The IP conflict should resolve itself. Probably has already.

thanx for your reply
the ip confict has resolved itself
of course the weather is warmer so the c/h has not been on as much as usual
will keep an eye on it and post any further problems

thanx again for the advice
