Title: Fuse box smell Post by Leguity on Aug 5th, 2013, 3:13am I live in a small park model camper. Today I noticed a heat smell and finally tracked it down to my pantry, the fuse box is located out side directly behind this area. I felt around the switches in the box and noticed the ones labeled air conditioner were very warm to the touch. I shut off the ac and left for about an hour. When I came back the smell as not as strong and the switches in the box had cooled down. I decided to start up the AC again and in a matter of minutes the smell came back again. What could be causing this and is it safe to stay in the camper tonight? |
Title: Re: Fuse box smell Post by Lectrician on Aug 5th, 2013, 7:41am Certainly a loose connection in the consumer unit/fuse box. |

The original post from the 'DIYer' speaks of the "AC" - The Air Conditioning ;) |
