Title: wiring 3.3kw oven Post by davygravy on Feb 21st, 2014, 7:47pm Any help please,I have purchased a 3.3kw oven, now I know this will have to be hardwired to supply.I know I have a 45A feed from the consumer unit to cooker socket, would this be ok to feed from the socket to a cooker outlet then to the oven,or would 45a be to powerful for the oven, any advice, thanks |

Title: Re: wiring 3.3kw oven Post by Lectrician on Feb 22nd, 2014, 7:54am 10mm is nicely oversized. Better too big than too small. The MCB does need changing though. Hagars are readily available. |

Title: Re: wiring 3.3kw oven Post by Lectrician on Feb 22nd, 2014, 8:54pm 2.5mm would be ample, HO7rnf preferred. 4mm would be my choice here. |
Title: Re: wiring 3.3kw oven Post by scotspark on Feb 22nd, 2014, 9:14pm I would probably go with 2.5mm HO7 flex as some of the terminal enclosures arent designed for anything bigger and many ovens of that size will come with a 1.5mm flex |
