Title: Vacuum trouble
Post by asb007 on Jul 15th, 2014, 6:07pm

Our vacuum cleaner keeps tripping the upstairs sockets circuit. It does this in all 3 upstairs sockets. Other electrical items are ok plugged in upstairs, and the vacuum works when plugged in downstairs or in the loft conversion (both on different circuit rings). All seem to be earthed correctly. Help please.

What rating breaker upstairs?  Some hoovers have a surprising switch on surge, able to trip B16 MCBs.
