Title: sealing wet room door threshold Post by grahamg on Sep 12th, 2014, 8:14am Hello, My plumber is just snagging our new wet room. Testing the shower, water splashes on to the floor by the door and when the door is opened a little water can be seen on top of the timber door threshold. The floor has been tiled flush with the threshold. There are concerns about water getting through this joint and causing damage to the floorboards and so on. What type of sealant should be used in this joint? Should I have the threshold removed and timber treatment applied below? A similar problem exists for the door architrave, does the same advice apply? Thank you |
