Title: Baxi solo high emmisions Post by Malfunction on Apr 10th, 2015, 8:54pm Hi all, My daughter is renting her house and needed to get a landlords certificate, a plumber came round to inspect the Baxi solo boiler and checked the emissions from the flue and said it was twice what it should be. he said the problem could be a seal or the fan. I'm no expert at all on boilers but would have thought an emission problem would be something to do with the burner. Any advice would be very much appreciated. |
Title: Re: Baxi solo high emmisions Post by thescruff on Apr 11th, 2015, 8:06pm Could be connected to the flue, either seal or damaged, not connected properly or blocked. Are there any obstructions external where the flue pokes through the wall |
Title: Re: Baxi solo high emmisions Post by Malfunction on Apr 12th, 2015, 8:03pm Thank "thescruff" I sure there isn't any external blockage, the house is 20 miles away so i'm unable to check seal. The plumber is supposed to be coming back Tuesday to change seal on flue, if that doesn't do it it's £200 for a fan !! |
