Title: Connecting my new cooker Post by Busybee9 on Apr 21st, 2015, 8:41am Hi, I'm trying to connect my new cooker but its proving a bit fiddly. The wire is hard-wired into proper socket so I know this is ok, and old cooker was so simple to connect. My problem is, the wire is so thick and the screws so short that when trying to put the cable(s) to the side of the screws for L/N/E the screws are not screwing up tight enough to keep the cable in place. (I've already dropped 1 screw into back of oven and after much cursing managed to retreive it). My question is: can I part each piece of cable into a 'V' shape so a piece of each cable goes either side of the screw? Thanks for any help in advance. |
